Lillie had her three month check up on her eyes and it was painful!!! The doctor felt she had not made enough progress from her last appointment, so Dr. Rainey dilated both eyes to make sure nothing else was going on. After a few minutes Lillie was crying.....I'm blind, I'm blind. It was terrible, she just cried and cried, I felt so bad for her. Her eyes were fine, however the doctor did send us on our way with a new game plan. In hopes to get the left eye to 20/20 Lillie's good eye will be dilated every other day, forcing her brain to use the bad eye. It makes her a good eye not tract at times which is worrisome, we are told this is all normal.
Trying to comfort Lillie was a little difficult so we met Daddy for lunch, it worked!
Lillie always surprises me, she was using chop sticks like an old pro!
We will pray for her, that is so hard to understand when you're so little!

ReplyDeleteLillie is destined for greatness!! Children who pass through extraordinary trials grow up to be unstoppable adults. She will master this trial like she did the chopsticks--like a pro!
