On April 22ND, Mackenzie and I arrived at the Department of Motor Safety at 6:45am to get in line for the driving test. We were seventh in line. By the time the DPS opened at 7:45 the line was wrapped all around the building and some were giving up and heading home to try for another day. That's what happens when you lives in a city of over a million people! Anyway, we were tired and very nervous, I think I was more nervous than Mackenzie. She told me several times, "mom it's OK." When she finally pulled out in the car for her test I thought I was going to faint, silly, I know. Maybe it was all the pressure as I was her instructor, if she failed, I failed!!!

Ah, success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were both all smiles as we pulled out of the DPS, we passed, which meant freedom for both us, good times, YES!

Now skip ahead two weeks when her license comes in the mail, its the oh, so familiar feeling of look at how terrible my drivers license picture is, welcome to the club honey!!!!!
Woohooo! You have your license, how exciting! Now what are you going to drive? Car shopping? I love the look on your face Makenzie....classic!
