Lillie and I headed out early and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise and seashells.
Curtis and the boys went fishing two night in a row until 3am on the peer. Curtis caught a bonnet head shark, Nelson a sting ray (which they lost when the line broke) and Rhett caught himself a Whiting. Patten had high hopes for a "Red" but was disappointed, he still was thrilled with the experience though. 
We made smores on the beach and pyro Patten had a great time getting the fire going!
Everybody had fun swimming and boogie boarding, Lillie ended up being the best at catching the waves
Curtis spent a great deal of time with a net standing out in the ocean, finally he caught two little fish which he and Lillie are holding, he was so proud. 
We went shopping and the tourist shops were so fun, at one point however we lost Nelson and were getting rather concerned. We called to him but to no avail, then we heard some laughter and this is what we found.... 
It was hard to leave as it was just so much fun and good quality family time! Especially the sleeping arrangements! We thought we had a room with two king beds. We ended up having a room with one king sized bed so Mackenzie, Macy, Lillie and Jennifer slept in the bed. Curtis and Patten slept on cots, and Rhett and Nelson on the floor with sleeping bags. The hotel was booked solid so we couldn't get anything else, good memories!
I love reading about your vacations and the fish and seeing the pictures. But the best part is the king size bed with all of you. It just gives me great mind pictures. I'm so glad you could all get away and have such a great time!! Thanks for posting these pictures. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteWhat summer fun! Glad you guys had a great time, snug and all in your one big bed! It was like growing up at the dairy....there was four of us in that queen canopy at one point! What great memories!
ReplyDeleteSo can you have one of your boys go fishing for Guam and pull it up on shore next to Corpus Christi? It would be so fun to have beach vacations with you guys. We have Trevor's king size bed to put you all in since he's gone :0) Love this post of you guys laughing in the sun. You are one big happy family and we love you guys!
